How to Reach Himachal Pradesh
By air:
Being a popular tourist destination in India, Himachal Pradesh is fairly well connected to the metropolitan cities of the country. if you want to see adventure activities in Himachal Pradesh; follow my instructions. The state has three domestic airports, namely Kangra Airport (Gaggal), Kullu-Manali Airport (Bhuntar), and Shimla Airport (Jubbarhatti). The airports are connected to cities such as Chandigarh, Delhi, and Kolkata, making them easily accessible. Cabs, jeeps, and buses are available in abundance from these airports, making travel to different parts of the state easy and hassle-free.
By train:
Railways are not very well-established in the state owing to the rugged mountainous terrain. The Kangra Valley Railway, which runs from Pathankot in Punjab to Joginder Nagar in Himachal, is the most prominent railway line in the region. The journey takes approximately 8 hours. If the capital city of Himachal is your destination, then there is no alternative to the Kalka-Shimla toy train. This toy train facility is immensely popular and has also been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site. The 60-mile journey takes you through a route so scenic and otherworldly that the six-hour ride will feel like mere minutes.
By road:
A road journey is always preferred when it comes to getting to hill stations, and Himachal is no exception. The roads are well-connected to the major cities of India and remain diurnally busy. The state has 8 national highways and an intricate state highway system that will help you reach even the most remote and secluded regions of Himachal. Although jeeps are the chosen mode of transport for ease of traveling, luxury buses also make for the perfect ride if you’re working around a tight budget.
